Your wedding day is a special event in your lives. FPC offers weddings and vow renewal ceremonies for members and non-members. Our staff is ready to accommodate your requests and create a day you will treasure.

How to Make a Reservation

Once you have reviewed our wedding policies and are in agreement with the expected donation, you will need to see if your desired date is available. Please submit your request to _________________. If your date is available, FPC will temporarily hold it for you and request your $___ initial donation deposit. As soon as your deposit is received, your reservation will be confirmed. The remaining wedding donation should be sent at least 30-days prior to wedding date.

Frequently Asked Questions about Weddings

Do we have to be church members or Presbyterian to be married at FPC?
You do not have to be a church member to be married in our sanctuary. CHRISTIAN???

Is there a room available for a light reception after the ceremony?
Yes... need details
Flowers, a photographer, a caterer and any other service providers are the responsibility of the couple. We can provide a short list of florists and photographers that have provided good service...

Can we make suggestions to the pastor regarding our service?
The pastor will welcome any questions and ....send you a copy of the basic service that we use at FPC. After you receive the basic copy, you can send the pastor any questions or suggestions that you may have about the service and about your wedding plans. He will then help you with planning your service. Some personalization of the service is possible through consultation with the pastor, though he must approve any changes.

Can we rent the church to have a wedding with our own clergy?
Family members and friends can share in the service through a reading or musical number. Our pastor is in charge of all weddings held at the church, but another pastor can co-officiate when invited to do so by the FPC pastor.

Can we throw rice or rose petals after the ceremony?
Only rose petals, bird seed are permitted in the "courtyard" area.

Can we have a rehearsal?
A rehearsal is recommended for weddings that include a number of people in the wedding party (groomsmen, bridesmaids, readers, a soloist, and the like). The rehearsal is usually scheduled the day before the wedding. If there is a small group, such as the couple and parents, a rehearsal is usually not required. In this case, the details can be worked out when the couple meets with the pastor.

Can we get dressed and prepare at the church?
Yes, we have rooms available. Please be aware that none of the rooms are connected to bathroom facilities.
